World Happiness Academy – Refund Policy

(This policy does not include Discovery Expeditions and Retreats, which are governed by a separate policy below.)

At World Happiness Academy, our mission is to create transformative experiences that spark joy, growth, and fulfillment. We know that life is dynamic, so we've designed a refund policy that is fair, supportive, and sustainable, while ensuring every participant has a stress-free learning journey.

This policy does not include Discovery Expeditions and Retreats, which are governed by a separate policy below.

 

Live Training Programs (Fixed-Time, Cohort-Based)

Our live programs are designed for immersive learning, and each new cohort brings a fresh opportunity to grow.

  • Before the program starts: Full refund available within 15 days of purchase.

  • After program start:

    • If you withdraw before 25% of the program is completed, you can convert your investment into full credit for a future cohort or program.

    • Once more than 25% is completed, no refunds are available, but we’ll gladly help you find ways to continue your learning journey.

  • Rejoining Future Cohorts: If you cannot continue, you may have the option to join a future cohort at no additional cost (subject to availability and space).

Membership Plans (Monthly & Annual)

  • Annual Plans:

    • Full refund available within the first 15 days after purchase.
    • After 15 days, your membership remains active until the end of your billing cycle.
    • If you cancel within the first month, the months used will be charged at the standard monthly rate rather than the discounted annual rate.
    • Example: If the annual plan is $240/year ($20/month equivalent) but the standard monthly plan is $30/month, and you cancel after 2 months, you’ll be charged $60 ($30 x 2 months).

  • Monthly Plans:

    • Monthly payments are non-refundable once billed.
    • You can cancel at any time to avoid future charges.

Digital Products & Short Pre-Recorded Programs

  • For digital assets and pre-recorded programs, refunds are not available.

  • Why? Once accessed or downloaded, digital content cannot be returned, ensuring fairness to all learners and content creators.

Cases Where Refunds May Be Limited

To maintain a fair learning environment, we reserve the right to limit or deny refund requests in the following situations:

  • A significant portion of the program has been accessed. 
  • The program was bought within a special offer or discount. 
  • Multiple refund requests for the same or similar programs.
  • A history of excessive refund requests.
  • Membership cancellations after the 15-day window.
  • When all promised content has been delivered and used.
  • Purchases that include digital assets or downloadable content.

Credit-Only Refunds

When a monetary refund is not possible, we may offer credits that can be used for future programs. This applies especially to:

  • Live programs when withdrawal happens after start but before 25% completion.
  • Special promotional offers (discounts)




     

Policy for Discovery Expeditions and Retreats

We believe that life-changing journeys should be accessible and joyful from beginning to end. To ensure fairness while balancing the unique logistics of expeditions, here’s our cancellation and payment policy:

Payment Structure

  • Upon Booking (More than 95 days before departure):

    • 15% trip deposit + airfare costs due at booking (deposit and airfare non-refundable).

    • Balance (85%) due 95 days before trip start.

  • Booking within 95 days of departure:

    • 100% of trip cost + airfare required upon booking.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We recognize that unexpected situations can arise. We want to be as flexible as possible while respecting the operational commitments made on your behalf.

  • Cancellations more than 95 days before departure:

    • Deposit and airfare remain non-refundable.

    • Any additional payments made toward the final balance are fully refundable.

  • Cancellations 45–95 days before departure:

    • 50% of the trip balance (excluding non-refundable airfare and visa fees) will be refunded.

    • Remaining balance may be offered as credit toward a future retreat or expedition.

  • Cancellations less than 45 days before departure:

    • Due to supplier commitments, refunds are generally not available. However, we may offer partial credit toward a future program depending on circumstances.

Force Majeure and Compassionate Considerations

If you are unable to travel due to a force majeure event (e.g., major health issues, natural disaster, political unrest in the destination country, airline cancellations beyond your control):

  • We will work with our local partners to provide credit, rescheduling, or partial refunds where possible.

  • Proof or documentation may be required for review.

Our goal is always to support you with care and minimize financial loss wherever we can.

Additional Non-Refundable Fees

  • Visa fees

  • Bank and payment processing fees

  • Airline tickets purchased through us

  • Fees related to private property reservations or private invitations
