Winners of the AECOP prestigious award to the advancement of coaching cultures

We at the World Happiness Foundation are deeply honoured to have been recognised by AECOP with its “Cultura de Coaching en la Empresa” award — a distinction that celebrates organisations that make executive coaching a core driver of culture and transformation.
For us, this recognition is a powerful affirmation: our Coaching and Chief Well‑Being Officer (CWO) programs are not only transforming individual lives, but also helping companies around the world embed a genuine coaching mindset into the way they work, lead and grow.

Why this AECOP recognition matters
AECOP’s Premios “Cultura de Coaching en la Empresa” were created in 2019 to highlight organisations that demonstrate a strong, sustained commitment to executive coaching in their organisational strategy and daily life. Over the years, the awards have become a respected benchmark in the Spanish‑speaking business community, celebrating companies that build robust internal coaching cultures and showcase the impact of coaching on performance, engagement and well‑being.
Being honoured by AECOP in the category that recognises the best company bringing a coaching culture to companies means three things to us:
- It validates our belief that happiness, well‑being and coaching excellence belong at the heart of business.
- It recognises thousands of hours of learning, mentoring and practice inside our Coaching and CWO programs.
- It celebrates the organisations and professionals who partner with us to bring these practices to life in workplaces, schools, cities and communities worldwide.
Our Coaching Program: forming conscious catalysts of well‑being
At the World Happiness Foundation, we see professional coaching as one of the most effective ways to align personal growth, organisational performance and societal impact. That conviction is embodied in our Professional Coaching Program, delivered through the World Happiness Academy in partnership with the Foundation.
This program is officially accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) at Level 1, providing 102 hours of coach‑specific education and a complete, standards‑aligned pathway to the ACC credential.
Beyond accreditation, the Coaching Program:
- Specialises in happiness and well‑being. Participants learn to integrate positive psychology, behavioural science, mindfulness and NLP into their coaching practice, always aligned with ICF Core Competencies.
- Builds a deep coaching mindset. The curriculum emphasises “embodying a coaching mindset”: an open, curious, flexible, client‑centred way of being that supports sustainable change in individuals, teams and organisations.
- Uses the ROUSER Coaching Model. Relations, Openness, Understanding, Self‑awareness, Empowerment and Reflection become practical levers to help leaders and practitioners act as “conscious catalysts of well‑being” in their companies and communities.
With live sessions, peer‑to‑peer coaching, mentoring and a strong global community, the program does more than certify coaches: it equips people to take coaching into boardrooms, classrooms, health systems and social projects — anywhere a coaching culture can help humans flourish.
This is one of the main reasons AECOP’s recognition is so meaningful to us: our Coaching Program doesn’t stop at individual competence. It is designed to radiate outwards into organisational culture.
The CWO Program: taking coaching into the fabric of organisations
If our Coaching Program forms individual catalysts, our Chief Well‑Being Officer (CWO) Program helps those catalysts reshape the systems they operate in.
Together with the World Happiness Academy, we created the CWO Program to prepare leaders who can design and implement strategic well‑being and coaching initiatives at scale. Since its launch, the program has brought together hundreds of professionals from hundreds of cities across the world, uniting HR leaders, educators, health professionals, public servants and independent practitioners around a shared mission: creating cultures where people can truly thrive.
Key elements of the CWO Program include:
- A deeply practical, evidence‑based curriculum. Participants work through an intensive journey with 90+ lessons, live sessions, one‑to‑one coaching and peer mentoring, guided by global experts.
- The first program built on the U.S. Surgeon General’s “Five Essentials for Workplace Mental Health & Well‑Being”. Protection from Harm, Connection & Community, Work‑Life Harmony, Mattering at Work and Opportunity for Growth serve as the backbone for designing strategic well‑being plans in organisations.
- A truly global, multilingual learning community. Participants learn in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese, bringing diverse perspectives on how to operationalise coaching and well‑being inside companies, schools, hospitals and public institutions.
- Real tools for real change. From structured rollout plans to digital platforms that track happiness and well‑being, participants leave with actionable strategies to embed coaching and well‑being into daily operations.
In many organisations, our CWO alumni become the bridge between intention and reality: they turn “we care about people” into concrete policies, rhythms, conversations and metrics. That is precisely what a coaching culture requires.
Our commitment to a coaching mindset
This award is, above all, a recognition of mindset.
Across the World Happiness Foundation and the World Happiness Academy, we work every day to live and model the same coaching principles we teach:
- Listening before advising. Whether we are working with companies, cities of happiness, schools or grassroots communities, we begin by listening deeply to context, needs and aspirations.
- Curiosity over certainty. Our programs invite leaders and participants to question assumptions, explore alternatives and co‑create solutions instead of imposing one‑size‑fits‑all answers.
- Shared responsibility. Coaching conversations — inside our programs and within our team — are grounded in accountability, agency and mutual respect.
- Learning as a continuous practice. From our expeditions and summits to our online academy, we treat every initiative as a laboratory for learning how happiness, well‑being and coaching can transform systems.
For us, a coaching mindset is not just a professional skillset. It is a way of inhabiting our mission: a commitment to meet people where they are, honour their potential and walk alongside them as they design more humane, joyful and resilient organisations.
A shared celebration — and what comes next
Receiving AECOP’s award for best company bringing a coaching culture to companies is a shared achievement. It belongs to:
- The coaches and CWOs who trust our programs and then go on to transform their workplaces.
- The organisations that invite us into their journeys, even when it means rethinking long‑established habits.
- Our global community of partners, thought leaders and volunteers who believe in happiness and well‑being as serious, systemic work.
This recognition encourages us to go further. In the coming years, we will keep:
- Expanding and evolving our Coaching and CWO programs to reach more sectors, countries and languages.
- Supporting companies in turning coaching from an intervention into a living culture — supported by data, frameworks and real conversations.
- Building bridges between happiness research, coaching excellence and public policy, so that coaching cultures become part of how societies organise themselves, not just how companies manage talent.
From all of us at the World Happiness Foundation: thank you, AECOP, for this honour. And thank you to every organisation and professional who walks this path with us.
This award is not the end of a journey. It is an invitation to deepen our commitment to a world where coaching, happiness and well‑being are the standard, not the exception, in how we work and live together.
