The Next 100 Chief Well-Being Officers: Scholarships Are Open for the May 2026 Cohort

Dear community,

One of the most inspiring parts of this journey has been watching what happens after the program ends.

What began a couple of years ago as a focused training has quietly turned into something much larger: a global community of change-makers who are carrying the practice of well-being into the rooms where strategy is shaped, decisions are made, and culture is built. Cohort after cohort, our graduates have walked back into companies, governments, schools, hospitals, and communities — and rather than going alone, they've stayed connected, learned from one another, and kept refining what it means to lead from a place of consciousness and care.

That ripple is the real curriculum. And it's the reason we keep going.

Why a Chief Well-Being Officer, and why now

The Chief Well-Being Officer (CWO) role is not a wellness perk dressed up in a new title. It's a strategic function for organizations that have understood something most of the world is still catching up to: human flourishing is not a side project. It's the operating system.

A Chief Well-Being Officer brings the science, ethics, and lived practice of well-being into the architecture of leadership — into how people are hired, how teams are designed, how performance is measured, how conflict is navigated, how change is led. It is a role that translates between worlds: between neuroscience and HR, between contemplative traditions and quarterly planning, between human dignity and organizational results.

The world doesn't need more burnout dashboards. It needs leaders who can hold complexity without losing themselves, and who can build the conditions for others to do the same.

What's happening on May 7

We're preparing the next cohort, which begins on May 7, and we are looking for the next 100 Chief Well-Being Officers.

The program is rigorous and warm at once. You'll work alongside faculty and peers from across continents and sectors, ground your practice in evidence-based frameworks, and leave with the tools — and the community — to step into a CWO role inside your organization or as an independent advisor.

But more than that: you'll join a movement. One that is helping to push the world a little closer to our north star at the World Happiness Foundation and World Happiness Academy — 10 Billion Free, Conscious, and Happy by 2050.

Scholarships

We have scholarship opportunities for leaders who feel genuinely called to bring well-being into strategy and leadership but for whom cost would otherwise be a barrier. These are not symbolic discounts — they are real seats at the table for people whose work, context, or community needs them in this room.

If you've been carrying this calling quietly, this is your invitation to stop carrying it quietly.

Una de las cosas más inspiradoras de este viaje ha sido observar lo que sucede después de que termina el programa.

Lo que comenzó hace un par de años como una formación específica se ha convertido, sin hacer ruido, en algo mucho más grande: una comunidad global de creadores de cambio que están llevando la práctica del bienestar a los espacios donde se diseña la estrategia, se toman las decisiones y se construye la cultura. Cohorte tras cohorte, nuestros graduados han regresado a empresas, gobiernos, escuelas, hospitales y comunidades — y en lugar de caminar en solitario, han permanecido conectados, han aprendido unos de otros y han seguido afinando lo que significa liderar desde la conciencia y el cuidado.

Por qué un Chief Well-Being Officer, y por qué ahora

El rol de Chief Well-Being Officer (Director/a de Bienestar) no es un beneficio de bienestar disfrazado con un nuevo título. Es una función estratégica para organizaciones que han comprendido algo que el resto del mundo aún está alcanzando: el florecimiento humano no es un proyecto secundario. Es el sistema operativo.

Un Chief Well-Being Officer integra la ciencia, la ética y la práctica vivida del bienestar en la arquitectura del liderazgo — en cómo se contrata, cómo se diseñan los equipos, cómo se mide el desempeño, cómo se gestiona el conflicto, cómo se conduce el cambio. Es un rol que traduce entre mundos: entre la neurociencia y los recursos humanos, entre las tradiciones contemplativas y la planificación trimestral, entre la dignidad humana y los resultados organizacionales.

El mundo no necesita más dashboards de burnout. Necesita líderes capaces de sostener la complejidad sin perderse a sí mismos, y de construir las condiciones para que otros puedan hacer lo mismo.

Qué sucede el 7 de mayo

Estamos preparando la prĂłxima cohorte, que comienza el 7 de mayo, y buscamos a los prĂłximos 100 Chief Well-Being Officers.

El programa es a la vez riguroso y cálido. Trabajarás junto a un cuerpo docente y a colegas de distintos continentes y sectores, fundamentarás tu práctica en marcos basados en evidencia y saldrás con las herramientas — y la comunidad — para asumir un rol de CWO dentro de tu organización o como asesor/a independiente.

Pero más allá de eso: te unirás a un movimiento. Uno que está ayudando a acercar al mundo un poco más a nuestra estrella polar en la World Happiness Foundation y la World Happiness Academy — 10 mil millones libres, conscientes y felices para 2050.

Tenemos oportunidades de becas para líderes que sientan un llamado genuino a integrar el bienestar en la estrategia y el liderazgo, pero para quienes el coste podría ser, de otro modo, una barrera.
