The World Cannot Be Built on Violence—And the Road Map Out

Dear Conscious Catalysts,

I am writing to you from one of the most critical moments in modern human history. As of this month, March 2026, over 130 armed conflicts rage across the planet. Autocracies outnumber democracies for the first time in more than two decades. The United States and Israel are conducting ongoing airstrikes against Iran — launched during active negotiations when the mediator had just reported breakthrough progress. Russia's invasion of Ukraine grinds through its fourth year. Gaza's humanitarian catastrophe continues unabated. Sudan is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crises in living memory. And the mental health toll of all this violence — the anxiety, the depression, the PTSD, the moral injury, the suicide — is creating a shadow pandemic that will haunt generations.

In the face of this, I felt compelled to do something that the World Happiness Foundation has never done before: produce a comprehensive, two-part work that maps the full scope of the global crisis and then charts the path from crisis to conscious evolution.

Today, I am sharing both parts with you and asking you to read them, reflect on them, share them, and — most importantly — act on them.

Part I: The World Cannot Be Built on Violence

The first article is the most comprehensive mapping we have ever attempted of the leaders, regimes, and regions where violence, authoritarianism, and violations of international law have become normalized. It documents over 45 countries and their leaders — from Putin and Netanyahu to Trump, Xi Jinping, the Taliban, the Myanmar junta, and dozens more across every continent. It draws on the latest data from the ICC, the ICJ, the V-Dem Institute, Freedom House, ACLED, the ICRC, and the Human Rights Foundation's new Tyranny Tracker.

But Part I goes far beyond a list. It examines the ongoing bombing of Iran and exposes the most tragic detail of this escalation: diplomacy was working, and it was killed by the decision to choose violence. It deconstructs the trap of revenge — the lie that retaliation is a right, when in truth it is the engine of perpetual war. It uses a simple but powerful analogy: in every sport on earth, when two parties fight, we separate them and penalize the aggressors. We never hand them bigger weapons. Why do we accept in international relations what we would never accept on a playing field?

Part I also documents what I believe is one of the most underreported dimensions of the global crisis: the devastating mental health catastrophe caused by war. The research is staggering — rates of anxiety, depression, and PTSD two to three times higher in conflict-affected populations, moral injury that wounds the soul for decades, intergenerational trauma that transmits suffering from parents to children to grandchildren. The wars of 2026 will not end when the fighting stops. They will echo through the psychology of entire civilizations for generations.

The article closes with a call to civil society: condemn all violence without exception. Demand that every leader who has committed or enabled violations of international law be brought before the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. And build a culture of peace with the same urgency and investment that we currently pour into the machinery of war.

Part II: The Road Map to Supraconsciousness

If Part I answers the question "what is happening?", Part II answers the question that matters even more: "why is this happening at the deepest level, and what is the road map out?"

The thesis of Part II is simple and radical: the world's crisis is, at its root, a crisis of consciousness. The wars, the authoritarianism, the cruelty — these are symptoms. The disease is a collective consciousness operating at the lowest levels of the human spectrum. And the cure is the conscious evolution of humanity itself.

Part II weaves together five extraordinary frameworks into a single coherent road map. David Hawkins' Map of Consciousness provides the diagnosis: the world's leaders operate at the levels of Fear, Anger, and Pride — all below the critical threshold of Courage, below which consciousness is net destructive. Sri Aurobindo's vision of the Supramental provides the evolutionary horizon: humanity is a transitional being, and the next step is a consciousness that sees unity where the mind sees only division. Michael Newton's Life Between Lives research provides the soul-level context: we are here to evolve, and the challenges we face are the very curriculum our souls chose. David Icke's Road Map exposes the perceptual prison that keeps humanity trapped in a narrow band of awareness. And quantum physics confirms what all four traditions teach: consciousness is fundamental to reality, and the transformation of consciousness is the transformation of reality itself.

From these converging streams, Part II presents a five-level systemic road map — from individual inner work (shadow integration, meditation, rising on the Hawkins scale) through community transformation (Cities, Schools, and Organizations of Happiness) to civilizational redesign (Happytalism, Gross Global Happiness, and the aspiration toward the Supramental). It details the role of the World Happiness Foundation as the institutional architecture for this conscious evolution, and it makes the case that every meditation, every act of shadow work, every moment of unconditional love is not a peripheral activity but the most powerful revolutionary act available to a human being.

An Invitation to You

Dear community, I am not sharing these articles as academic exercises. I am sharing them as a call to action — not the action of protest or resistance alone, but the deeper action of transformation.

You are already Conscious Catalysts. Many of you are coaches, educators, healers, leaders, and changemakers working every day to raise the level of consciousness in your communities. What I am asking now is that you recognize the full significance of what you do. In a world where autocracies outnumber democracies and bombs fall on schools during negotiations, your work is not optional. It is essential. It is evolutionary. It is the most important work on Earth.

Read these articles. Share them with your networks. Discuss them in your Agoras. Use them in your classrooms, your coaching sessions, your organizations. And above all, keep evolving. Keep rising on the scale of consciousness. Keep doing the inner work that transforms the outer world. Keep being the proof that another way of being human is possible.

The Supramental is not a dream. It is an evolutionary force already at work. And we are invited to be its conscious instruments.

With love and in service to freedom, consciousness, and happiness,

Luis Miguel Gallardo Founder & President, World Happiness Foundation March 2026
